Bayside Council’s popular Trees for Mum event is returning for this year’s Mother’s Day. It gives residents an opportunity to celebrate their mum, or a mother they would like to recognise, by planting a native tree in their honour.

Tree tags will be provided for the planted commemorative trees, that will have the additional benefit of increasing the local tree canopy. 

Planting equipment will be provided and Council staff will be available to assist with planting. Residents are encouraged to wear suitable clothing, closed-toe shoes, hat, and sunscreen.

This is a free event, but registration is essential.
